Pathways to Licensure
in Florida
In the state of Florida, there are two pathways to licensure for the CNM available through the Florida Board of Nurse; supervisory APRN and autonomous APRN.
Supervisory vs. Autonomous APRN
Supervisory APRN
All APRNs in the state of FL are required to apply for this licensure.
Autonomous APRN (AAPRN)
A clear, active licensed APRN in FL can apply for autonomous authorization.
